GE Healthcare (US) – AI Obstetric Ultrasound for Midwives2024–Ongoing

NAAMII provided expert supervision and technical R&D support to enhance Transcad’s robotics and transportation technology. Over six months, we optimized algorithms for 3D reconstruction and visual SLAM, advancing autonomous navigation capabilities and system perception.

FIISC & University of La Laguna – Maternal-Fetal Genomics2025

NAAMII applied multimodal and federated learning to study how maternal diabetes affects fetal neurodevelopment. Our work combined AI with genome-wide methylation data to advance computational genomics, support early intervention research, and build local AI research capacity.

Planning Logic LLC – AI Surgical Decision Support2025–2028

NAAMII developed AI tools for predictive analytics, segmentation, and surgical decision support. Our work included full-stack model development, backend integration, and performance optimization to enhance orthopedic care platforms.

Base Gene Therapeutics Ltd (UK) – Federated & Multimodal AI in Genomics 2023–2024

NAAMII led research on federated and multimodal learning to analyze genomic data across distributed sources securely. Our contributions included novel algorithm development for privacy-preserving AI, enabling more accurate and ethical genomic research. 

NICRF – Early Prediction of Sepsis in ICU2023

NAAMII created predictive AI models using clinical data from over 20,000 ICU patients. Our models support earlier intervention, enhancing patient outcomes and demonstrating the value of AI in critical care decision-making.

Redev Technology Ltd (UK) – Applied Computer Vision2021

NAAMII developed and optimized deep learning models for image classification, detection, and active learning applications. We created pipelines to reduce data labeling needs while maintaining model performance, strengthening Redev’s product capabilities and research integration.

Transcad Ltd (Canada) – 3D Reconstruction & Visual SLAM2021

ZEG.ai Ltd (UK) – Geometric Deep Learning for 3D Vision2020–2022

NAAMII co-developed geometric deep learning models to convert 2D and 2.5D data into 3D reconstructions. Our work directly improved ZEG.ai’s 3D rendering technology and laid the foundation for potential joint publications and commercial products.
